    Introduction

    Howdy,

I thought I'd introduce myself to the forum, having just bought a '71 S2 Coupe. If I've read the instructions right there might be a photo underneath! Looks like a great forum and there seem to be some real enthusiasts out there. I hope to keep you updated on progress with the car - although all the hard work has been done already, there are a few things I'd like to change - Like the wheels (and I've been reading what a challenge that might be - especially if I want Campags), and tossing up whether to ditch the bumpers and put some extra lights on the front. I'm based in NZ so distance will be an issue for parts and have already made contact with Omicron to get a catalogue. Although the car looks like a racer it hasn't had any track time. Maybe it will under new ownership!

    cheers,
    Gary

    Hi Duke,

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the recent acquisition! Looks like a very nice example.

You're right that suitable 5.5 x 14 alloys may be tricky, particularly Campys. The 5.5 x 14 Cromodoras from the Flavia are getting hard to find, but they're out there, and can be found with patience. As I mentioned on another thread, there's a set being offered at the moment by a private party in Italy
    http://www.subito.it/cerchi-in-lega-lecce-9848955.htm

Campagnolos, on the other hand, will be tougher to find. The FSZ/HF (pic below) as used in 6 x 13 on the early Fulvia Fanalones were also made in 5.5 x 14, but they're hens' teeth.

Anyway, best of luck with it, and keep us posted.

Loooks great. What wheels are on there just now? Are they the Beetle wheels?

    Cheers,

The car came with the wheels - all I can tell you is they're stamped with a 'BR'. They look like a bigger version of Minilites.

Nice car, have seen it before, but only in photos a friend of mine took when he was up in Auckland, hope you enjoy it. I've found that ebay.it and .de are the best places for spares. Shipping from Germany seems to be cheaper than from Italy too. http://www.bielstein.com/ sell on eby.de under this shop name http://stores.shop.ebay.de/Fiat-Lanc...__W0QQ_armrsZ1 and have a reasonable amount of stuff including reproduction wheels, but I think they only have 6 inch wide. And I've had good dealings with http://stores.shop.ebay.de/deltahf4w...34Q2ec0Q2em322 too but mainly for the integrale, not sure how much Fulvia stuff he carries. There is a bit on ebay.co.uk too but I've found the others to be more helpful and their English is very good.

Oh yeah and get in touch with the NZ Lancia register too www.lanciarnz.com Wim ha eight Fulvias I think and a few other preFiat Lancias, he's a huge help and a super nice guy. He'll be at the show in Auckland this weekend, I think it's at Ellerslie?

Hi Fingers, thanks for the tip. The guys in South Africa also seem to be pretty friendly. Not much luck from OZ though - do they have email there?
